Materials Suitable for Smart Branding Irons
Our drill press mount electric branding irons are primarily designed to be used on wood, but they can also be used on materials such as:
- Cork
- Paper
- Leather
- Food
- Plastic and other soft materials
Our smart branding irons have been used for branding barrels, boxes, cardboard cartons, crates, chairs, pallets, wooden furniture and many other objects.
Remember your plate needs a deeper relief when used on leather, food and plastic surfaces. Keep that in mind when placing your order.
Voltage
The standard voltage is 120V, 60Hz. Our irons are designed to operate on 110-120V, either AC or DC. The plug is a standard 3-pronged US plug (NEMA 15-5).

The big system for drill press
Holy cow, if you have to stamp more than a few things at a time this will save hours and hours, and be more consistent. Stamped 300 pieces yesterday and it was a few seconds per piece, super quick. 10/10 would recommend for production use

The Process of getting the branding Iron created was interesting, The time from Order to delivery was great. The system Arrived and we began testing the different temperature settings to get the correct effect we were looking for. It turned out 630 degrees was just right and we can stamp multiple times with the same effect every time It is a AWESOME set up. I recommend a Leather Hole Puncher Hand Arbor Press for DIY Leather Craft, it is what we are going to use instead of Drill press . The Folks at GearHeart where very easy to work with.
