If you are using a mallet, we HIGHLY recommend limiting the longest dimension of your stamp to 1.25" - 1.5". It is very important to keep the area to be stamped within the ability of a mallet blow to create the best imprint.

What size should my stamp be?

If you’re using a mallet, keep the longest side between 1.25" and 1.5" so one blow makes a clean impression.

Can I use it with an electric iron?

Yes. The stamp heads are interchangeable with Gearheart electric irons. For hot stamping, use a deep-cut plate and the Temperature Control unit, because leather needs low heat.
