I have a small volume woodworking business, using this to put my makers mark on wood. The temperature controller seems to work well. The stamping is very crisp and repeatable.

The drill press attachment is well worth the additional cost and faff if you want consistent results. The spring mount accounts for any nod or tramming issues you might have with your drill press and ensures you have a relatively similar pressure on each stamp. It pretty much eliminates the blurriness or ghosting you might get with the handheld one if the stamp moves a bit as you get it in contact with the wood.

I would probably NOT recommend this if you aren't stamping things that are flat with two parallel surfaces so that you can easily sit it on a drill press table. I forgot to stamp a couple of components going on a larger assembly a few times, which could not fit in the press - using this hand-held is possible but not comfortable or easy. I had spoken with someone from Gearheart and they said it's possible to order just the hand-held handle by itself later on, and I would recommend you get this up front if you ever plan to use it off the drill press.

If you are a "buy once, cry once" kind of person, this is almost definitely not going to disappoint you.

Holy cow, if you have to stamp more than a few things at a time this will save hours and hours, and be more consistent. Stamped 300 pieces yesterday and it was a few seconds per piece, super quick. 10/10 would recommend for production use

The brander is perfect, just what we needed. The service was exceptional.

We are a startup small business building and selling a stackable and accessible caddy for can goods, wine, garden and general storage. We use premium materials with this incredible heat brand searing in our logo so folks know it is a true Hixon and not some cheap knockoff. It really is the cherry on top!

The Process of getting the branding Iron created was interesting, The time from Order to delivery was great.
The system Arrived and we began testing the different temperature settings to get the correct effect we were looking for.
It turned out 630 degrees was just right and we can stamp multiple times with the same effect every time
It is a AWESOME set up. I recommend a Leather Hole Puncher Hand Arbor Press for DIY Leather Craft, it is what we are going to use instead of Drill press . The Folks at GearHeart where very easy to work with. We are very happy with the investment of this tooling
Thank you Gearheart Industry for the Quality involved in making the equipment and the Great Customer service
