Common questions
How do I heat it?
A plumber’s torch, gas cooktop or propane grill works: anything with a hot, clean flame. A wood fire works but isn’t recommended, because the heat is hard to control and it leaves soot on the iron.
Torch or electric?
Both give the same result. A torch iron needs reheating every few minutes, which suits one-offs and small runs, and it works without power.
Can I upgrade it to electric later?
Yes, with a mounting stud ($19) and a heater ($160).
Do you ship internationally?
Torch irons ship worldwide except to EU countries.
